Wow. I do apologize for the lack of updates. I’m swamped with everything and Independence Day tomorrow. It’s just been crazy. I have been drawing a lot of new pages. I just can’t really find time to ink and color. I might submit a little something tomorrow or on Sunday rather, but I’m still not sure. We’ll see. I hope you all have a great 4th of July and be sure to stay safe! Be sure to say a prayer for our troops fighting for our freedom oversees and hope for a quick return home! Panel 1 – Meanwhile…

Zuko: so, this Earth Kingdom treaty basically states that rebuilding will go as planned and the Fire Nation is partially responsible for the rebuilding of the damaged sections of the Earth Kingdom and vice-versa? So – it’s a peace agreement.

Panel 2 –

Chang: That’s pretty much it in a nutshell, Prince Zuko.
Zuko: So… Why is it so long?

Chang: Well, there hasn’t been peace between us for over 100 years. There was a lot to work into it.

Panel 3 –

Zuko: Well, it looks good to me. So… is that it? Are we done?

Chang: Not quite. There is still the Water Tribe agreement. Getting them to cooperate has been harder than initially thought. It appears that they’re still a bit untrustworthy of us especially since Zhao’s attack on the Northern Water Tribe. So, we think that you talking to them and being able to negotiate verbally might be our best chance.

Panel 4 –

Zuko: Wait. So, what you’re saying is to go discuss these matters in person? Won’t a treaty work?

Chang: We already tried.

Zuko: Why wasn’t I informed? That’s pretty important.

Chang: We thought it would be best to keep that matter quiet and work out something different with them.

Panel 5 –

Zuko: I’m not even Fire Lord yet! There’s no possible way I can talk to their head council and the representatives of the Water Tribes! Especially if they’re still upset about something Zhao did!

Panel 6 –

Chang: That’s why it’s best to discuss this matter. If they won’t have peace with us, we need to do anything to convince them otherwise by any means necessary.

Panel 7 –

Zuko: NO, CHANG! They owe us nothing. All I want is peace! And we’re the ones that need to do everything in order to convince and to show them that is all we want is peace.
