*Zutarian Ranting and Sozin SPOILERS Below!*

Okay, sorry for not drawing a picture in such a long time, but for a few days, I did kind of get depressed after seeing some of the strongest and most passionate Zutarians fall after these spoilers were released. I, for one, was not depressed at all because I still think the book is somewhat of a play by play of what’s going to happen in the finale, but it is a bit too misconstrued to contain the entire truth, it lacks severe detail, and I still KNOW the ending is false. Even if Kataang happens in the end, there is no way in HECK Avatar can play out that way and I still believe Zutara WILL be canon.

Why, you ask? It’s quite simple, really. Mike and Bryan said at the New York Comic Con, “EVERYONE will the happy with the finale.” A few weeks later, the Sozin’s Comic book comes out and is said to contain MASSIVE spoilers. People read it, and IF the entire book is 100% true and Avatar DOES really end that way and what happens? Over HALF of the entire fandom is devastated. Is that everyone, Bryke? I don’t think so, and this is why I believe they allowed Kataang and Maiko to happen in the book because Zutara WILL happen in the series. And if it does? Is everyone happy now? I think so. Let me tell you why --

Kataangers and Maikoaans are mostly kids. You have to admit that while older fans, typically 15 and up are Zutarians. And I think that kids typically believe everything they see, and that is why they are mostly for Kataang and Maiko! Because they believe everything they SEE! Kataang and Maiko are straight up, right in your face couplings. And I believe that when in the series, they begin to show the growth of Zuko and Katara and their relationship as friends and the building of trust, I believe the kids will begin to SEE the possibility of Zutara because it’ll be there right in front of them. They will SEE the buildup of friendship, the hug, the catch, the back-to-back fighting, the ninja mission, Zuko saving Katara’s life, Katara defeating Azula after Zuko gets hurt, Katara healing Zuko, it will be there! They will show their development and this is why there will be no question when Zutara DOES happen! This is why it’ll be an EPIC and satisfying ending for EVERYONE!

I do want to thank MizSweet for her podcast last week and yeah, I might have used some parts from it in my rant above, but I might have paraphrased a little. After being a bit down for the past few days, I listened to it and I tell you, I was spazzing the ENTIRE time. Every point she made was excellent! It hit the nail on the head and there is no longer any doubt in my mind that Zutara WILL be canon. Yes, people may believe I’m crazy for putting back 100% trust back into my ship, and even against all odds, Kataang does win in the end even with all of the Zutara build-up, I’d rather go down fighting. What about you?

Okay, I finished drawing this picture quite a while ago. I was coloring it yesterday and was going to submit it, but as I was coloring it, my electricity flashed and the power went out for a second before coming back on. It was long enough for my computer to reboot and I lot EVERTYHING I was working on. The same is for another picture I was going to submit last week, but after almost being done and losing it at the last second was too disheartening to get the gust up to color it again, so I just left it in my file and probably won’t submit it.

About the sloppy coloring? I’m sorry, but the electricity flashed twice in the past few days and both times, I lost everything I was working on, so I had to speed up my coloring time which makes it kind of sucky, so I apologize, but it was either submit it sloppy or have the possibility of it getting deleted again.

Oh, and on another exuberant and quite spazzy note, David Cook WON American Idol! Last night, I’ll admit, that I was full-heartedly was expecting him to lose and expecting Archuleta to win, but when Ryan read the name, “David Cook”, my jaw dropped. I was at a loss for words. After Tuesday night’s performance, I was totally expecting an Archuleta victory, but all of Cook’s fans pulled through for what turned out to be the most touching finale ever! It was so EPIC to see someone who Simon dissed the night before to pull ahead by 12 MILLION votes and claim the prestigious title of American Idol!

I’d LOVE a repeat performance for the end of Avatar because pretty much everyone thinks that since the spoilers in the book are true, and Kataang is going to win, wouldn’t it be so AWESOME if Zutara pulled ahead and turned out to be the unexpected canon ship?! And THAT’S what is meant by an EPIC ending. Something that is unexpected, breathtaking and absolutely PERFECT ending to a story. I mean, if the creators stated that there was an epic finale to Avatar, would Kataang and Maiko really be the result? If you say yes, you’re only kidding yourself. A Kataang and Maiko ending would be nothing but a predictable, melodramatic, and densely BORING ending to a show that should not fit that decription. So, be prepared for something EPIC coming in July when Zutara IS canon!

Avatar is going to continue on Monday, July 14, 2008. And no matter what the creators have chosen, Zutara Forever!
