Zutara - First Time

Alright, I know I said I was going to submit sooner, but it was just way to hard to wake up early enough to complete coloring and I didn't really have time to draw much. Anyway, I drew this picture a few months ago after taking a break from drawing any new Zutara stuff and I drew it to just see if I remembered how lol.

Okay, for this picture I just wanted to represent one of the very few moments only spent between Zuko and Katara. Amongst the fear and anger she felt toward Zuko, there had to be a few moments where she seem him in a different light and I believe that the pirates episode was one of those moments.

Zuko did not leave her alone to be hurt and who knows what else the pirates would have done to her to get their scroll back. I believe Zuko kinda made sure she wasn't handled inappropriately by the pirates.

Somewhat of the plot --

Katara grit her teeth hard as she tried to loosen the rough ropes that were knotted roughtly against her wrists. She spat at the pirates that just tied her up before she gazed angrily upon the Prince that had just sworn to save her from the pirates.

This was one of the very few times she had the time to just look at the Prince of the Fire Nation. The teenage boy she was gazing apon would soon be leading the very nation who had taken so much away from her and her people. This was the very nation who was responsible for the very execution of her mother. All her anger and hatred for the country was now given a face as she looked upon the rigid scar that marred the Prince's face.

She knew upon seeing that scar that something terrible must have been afflicted during a horrific battle or an explosiont hat had taken place. Little did she know that it was afflicted by this boy's own father. As Zuko looked upon the beautiful yet vunerable amateur waterbender that was helplessly tied to a tree. Zuko knew that it most likely wasn't her fault she was in this predicament. The Avatar was the only thing Zuko wanted and he secretely wished no one but the Avatar would have to get involved with any of this war.

He let out an aggrevated sigh as he approached the waterbender who grew more animated with every step he took toward her. Katara growled when he got close enough to touch her if he wanted. He looked upon her upturned face and angered brows as the eyes under them glowed with the beauty of the moon that reflected in them.

Her soft shallow breaths were getting more deep as she watched every move the Prince made. "We can make this easy, you know..." Zuko whispered as he circled once around her and pulled out the necklace he had found in an earthbender prison. Katara kept her eyes on him to make sure he wasn't going to leave her sight.

"You can forget that, Zuko!" She growled. Zuko's eyes grew at her statement and the way his name slipped off her tongue. Gazing deep into her midnight blue eyes and seeing the destinguishable fear in them made shivers go up his spine. Her foreign beauty made her something he greatly desired.

With a swift motion of his hand, he placed his hand upon her face. His fingers lowed ever so softly and slowly until a few of his fingers just slightly were tucked underneath her chin. With this motion and a slight tug, he pulled up her face until she had no choice but to gaze into his golden eyes.

Katara felt her heartbeat grow faster and her breath grow shorter and shorter as she felt his intense gaze upon her upturned face. Feeling his hot fingers upon her face and his eyes so intensely focused on her made her skin tingle and wonder why she was feeling this way. Feeling his face so close to hers and feeling his soft breath upon her face made her question what had just happened. So little had occured between them thus far but she had a feeling that this man was going to be a much bigger part of her life just than someone that was after the Avatar.

Alright, that was terrible, but it was all I could come up with. I know it was a little ab libbed than what was really in the episode, but it's all I can do at this point. As you know, this is my last week before Spring Semester at college begins, so I will try and get a few more things up and I hope to get another page of "What About Now" up before I go.
